Our Story
A kennel built on the standard.
Fox Chapel Bulldogs has been breeding and exhibiting English Bulldogs for over 25 years. Every dog we produce is a reflection of our commitment to type, health, and temperament.
The Kennel
Where it began
Fox Chapel Bulldogs was founded in Mercer, Pennsylvania with a single purpose: to breed English Bulldogs that are true to the AKC standard in every respect — from their broad, massive heads and low-slung, powerful frames to their gentle, affectionate temperaments.
Over more than two decades in the breed, we have finished champions from coast to coast, earned Best of Breed and Group placements at some of the country's most prestigious shows, and built a program recognized by the AKC with the Breeder of Merit designation.
Every litter begins with a plan. We health-screen all breeding stock, study pedigrees carefully, and pair only dogs that complement each other in structure, movement, and character. The result is a puppy that can compete in the ring, thrive in a family home, or both.

Our Philosophy
Bred with purpose. Raised with care.
Type & Standard
We breed to the AKC English Bulldog standard without compromise. Every Fox Chapel dog is evaluated against the standard from birth, and only those that meet our criteria move forward in our program.
Health First
All breeding stock is health-screened for cardiac, tracheal, and orthopedic soundness. We work closely with our veterinary team to ensure every puppy leaves with a clean bill of health and a full health guarantee.
Temperament
The English Bulldog is defined as much by its character as its appearance. Our dogs are raised underfoot, socialized from birth, and selected for the calm, affectionate temperament the breed is known for.
Lifelong Support
When a Fox Chapel puppy goes home, our relationship with that family begins. We are available for the life of every dog we produce — for questions, guidance, and the occasional show-ring update.
Recognition

Our show dogs are the living proof of what Fox Chapel stands for. Each one was bred, raised, and finished here — and each one is a member of our family.
